Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss. They are made from titanium and are surgically inserted into the jaw bone. After a few months of healing, small posts are then attached to the implants, which are used to anchor a crown.

Dental implants provide convenience in comparison to dentures. They give increased stability within the mouth as well as increased biting pressure, greater comfort and increased preservation of bone. They also enhance the aesthetic appearance of your smile, thereby improving confidence and self esteem.

Patients are initially referred to a specialist for the placing of the implant(s). Some months later the dentist at Kedron Dental Centre will insert the post and crown. In the interim a temporary denture can be made, if desired.
